Spatula for Chinese cooking - Part 2

On my last blog, I wrote about the difficulty I ran into finding the right spatula for Chinese cooking. Well, my wish seems to be answered.

Last week, I found this new spatula that Ikea is putting out for stir-fry cooking – they placed this right next to their Chinese wok.

This new spatula has a contemporary look (see picture) with a slight curve on the edge. Stainless steel section in the mid-section of the handle. It seems light weight, but it works great in my stir-fry cooking.

The new spatula has a modern look (see picture), the edge is slight curved with the Wok spatula stainless steel mid-section of the handle. Light weight and good grip handle. I was a bit skeptic about whether it can handle the stir-fry like the traditional one, but I am happy to report that it works great. I have no trouble using it to cook a big wok of fried rice.

So if you have Ikea in your area, don't hesitate to pick one up. It is called Wok Spatula and very affordable – only $4.99 each. You should be able to find them next to the isle where the woks are. For me, I am just relief that I find this replacement and for your information, I did stock them up – you will probably see them in my next cooking video!

Thank you, Ikea for saving my day and making a product for us!
